Television has greatly affected today's society. From what we watch to how see life in general, television has subconsciously changed our train of thoughts.
The ability to choose what we watch by if it looks interesting or entertaining has affected how we see the society. Society in general has become so used to being entertained, that if we don't see something we like, we ignore it and move on with life. By trying to make informative and important subjects such as education more interesting through entertainment, we make these important information entertaining but also irrelevant and useless
Society, in general, has become used to being entertained, that it begins to admire or choose something based on how entertaining it is. For example, in Amusing Ourselves to Death, Postman brings to light the fact that if the people, both entertainers and politicians, don't have the proper or entertaining looks, the audience refuse to support these people and their talents/skills. Has entertainment become so addictive that it runs our train of thought? Does society find itself blinded by entertainment?
