Anybody Out There?

Hi Kids,
Whatcha up to? Getting excited about coming back to school?

Here's what I'm doing:
1. reviewing the books/writing your test
2. grading notebooks
3. mapping out the weeks
4. reading Postman and Postman commentary (here's a good one)
5. ironing/mending my school clothes (ending is NOT better than mending)
6. Wondering what you are doing, what you are thinking about the political conventions, and the role of TV...hey, do you know more about South Park, Family Guy, Gossip Girl or the Democratic/Republican Political Platforms?

Here's a little sketch:
Day One: Warm up, quick little overview, rubric talk, technology blurb
Day Two: Timed Write (baseline writing exam)
Day Three: Test
Day Four - Ten: Brave New World group project
